Mmmm... why do I mod my car??
Sorry guys, here comes a Loong write up... :mmm:
Well, it started when I was like 3 or 4 years old, and for x-mas my mom and dad had gotten me, my older brother, and my younger brother, all of us, the EXACT same plastic trucks to play with.
They were big, with wheels the size of a gokart, and you could actually sit in on them and ride them, load sand, and dump it, MAN it was fun!! :joy:
Now from the get go there were issues about who's truck is who's truck, as they all looked the same, and my mom went and took out a permanent marker, and started writing my elder brothers name all over the bright yellow cab of the trucks roof!! :dropjaw:
I FREAKED out!! telling my mom that I will mark my truck and to PLEASE not put my name on the roof!!??!!

She gave me exactly 5 minutes to mark the truck, and that is what I did...

imp:
Now being 3 or 4 years old, I was OBVIOUSLY not a pro spray pianter, but I ran into my dads garage, grabbed a tin of gold spraypaint, and sprayed my entire truck, including the wheels, Gold!! :inlove:
When my mom came back 5 minutes later, expecting a name written on the roof, she FREAKED OUT by what she saw!! She screamed at my dad to come have a look!! I was Sooooo scared of getting a hiding, but my dad, not always the best of dads, but this day, he looked at the truck, looked at me, and smiled, and said: "My boy, thats the best looking truck I have ever seen!!"
From that day, I knew, that customising your ride, or your belongings, is what makes us unique, and through the years I kept on modding my stuff, my first tricycle, first bmx, first ATB bomber Bicycle, first mountain bike, and first car, and all my cars after that. And its not just a case of us doing it for ourselves and sitting back and taking pride in what it is we have done, but loving the reaction we get from others when they see or hear or experience what it is we have done!!
The fact of having a ride, in todays life, where sooo many of the same product is stamped out on a production line, is shit in my eyes!! and for me, making my ride unique, is a MUST and a no brainer!! I know, that if my car is seen, EVERYONE knows, and says: "Look!! There goes Coisman!!" This is one of the reasons whe a car like the 1M sells, the M3 sells, and so many more, and especially cars that are made in limitted numbers, and sold for rediculious prices sells!! We want to be individual!!!
Concerning the speed related mods... From day 1 in your life, from the time you were still in your moms belly, your mom was already comparing how fast you are growing to other moms. When born, you were compared with other kids, and your mom saying how fast you are growing, and that you are already saying words, already walking, already saying the alphabet, already riding a bike....
Fact is, we as humans are a competative species, ALWAYS wanting to be faster and better that the one next to us, and I think this is the main reason why boys stays boys, and like to drive fast, or race, or have something that can go from 0-100 in 3 seconds... because its in our nature to always try and be better and faster!!
My mods on my car doesn't make it an M3, and sadly I won't be able to beat a Ferrari in a drag race unless the Ferrari lets me win, but my 325i is my 325i!! She is the only one in the WORLD, and I love her to bits!! :inlove:
