Please I need help I have a BMW E90 323i auto it has a misfire on low rpm in a high gear between 1500 and 2000rpm and no fault codes.

Misfires on N52 motor usually point to coil packs. But they always leave a code on the DME.

Replaced a coil pack on mine just a week ago.....

If you have the diagnostics and can see the real time readings, look for the following:

They should read between -200 and +200 but when I had the problem one of my cylinders, no5 in this case, was reading +1200 and the other cylinders was reading 300. So you need to look for the cylinder that is reading the highest and then change that coil pack, in my case no5, to say cylinder no2 and see if the reading follows the coil. So in my case cylinder no 2 was now reading +1200 and cylinder 5 was reading 300 plus minus.

Look at it like that and you will find the problem coil. Hope this helps

I have sort of the same experience at the same rev range on my 323 but it's more that the car just dies there, and then suddenly wakes up. Can especially be felt in 2nd gear at 1500rpm on an incline. It did get better when I took the car to the stealers for some pending campaign on the Vanos, but it can still be felt. Also a power drop off at 4.5k rpm, it comes back at 5k. I've yet to change any coils nor have I had the Vanos solenoids cleaned (recommended at higher mileages). Also have no warning lights, nor any codes related to misfire, but will be interesting to see if there'll be any difference when get new coils and solenoids cleaned.

May or may not be the same issue as yours, just sharing a sort of similar experience. :)
