Mint 330i on gumtree

The guys could have at least gone through the trouble of fitting the front bumper on properly. And if you are going to respray a bumper, at least remove the black strips first. Looks like this car was in an accident and fixed as cheaply as possible, judging by the pics.

In my books "mint" is like showroom condition. and not the type of "showroom condition" we see on gumtree.... I mean as in walking into BMW dealership, and getting the new car smell.

That's showroom condition.

I think I must go and have a look at this mint 330i over the weekend, and then end up giving the salesman a mouthful. Just because I can.

Getting rid of built up frustration is nice.

Did it this morning to a guy wanting to tell me stories about the general condition of an 11 year old car. (They see the car as "very very neat"). Gave him such a mouthful, he just sat there, dumbstruck.

I hate it when guys say mint condition, immaculate, 100% original, etc in their ads and the car is POS. If you gonna sell a car, at least call a spade a f*(*Ken spade.

And I hate some dealers who claim FSH when they don't even have a service book or any other way to verify the service history :cursin:

Hmm, strange that they didn't also call it a german spec :)

Out of my experience the terminology used means this:
Mint = The engine doesn't leak oil, into the driver's compartment.

Immaculate = It looks good for a 20 year old car (its less than 10 years old)

Stock standard (factory original) = There is at least one part on the car that was on it when it left the factory or 2. the stock stuff was glued back on after an attempt to fit aftermarket parts resulted in a large number of plastic clips to be broken or 3. No holes were drilled in the boot lid to a fit a spoiler that he got from a friend with a scooby (the guy in the scooby got rid of it because it was to big)

Old lady/ lady driver = The clutch has been burned more times than the furnaces at a steel works.

German spec = The owner heard or read somewhere that Germany is awesome.

Full house = It has no real extras

Recently had a very comprehensive service at the dealers = The problem where the engine would catch fire has pretty much been sorted out.
