See the local Nissan dealer has a good looking (from the road) Mini for R70k. What issues did the plain Mini/Mini One have? This is a 2004 year model. What should one look out for. Any problems with the motor/electronics/valve stem oil seals/etc? Would like to hear from owners/past owners please. The good and the bad. Thanks!

A 2004 MINI will be either a R50 or R53 ( Cooper or Cooper S ).

They are great cars, both of them. The Cooper is allot slower but way softer than the S. Bullet proof motors with only a few common problems.

They are to dumb to give any major hassles.

I had two S'es and both treated me well with high mileage. Look for front strut tower mushrooming (mostly on the S with stiffer springs.) Also general condition of the car. Then post up some pics.

They Auto/CVT thing had smoe gearbox issues but other than that. . . Can't think off any issues.
