Hopefully an easy road to recovery and an easy road to drive on in future as well! 991.1 C4S and C2S are such pretty cars!

Thanks guys.
Hospital results are clear.
But was a long stay getting through the tests and one's mind does think the worst.
Anyway, happy that everything is good.
Also puts things into perspective.

Will see how things pan out over the next year as search goes for a 991.1. Will even consider a private purchase.

Glad you are in the clear. I have been having similar thoughts, usually the biggest obstacle to achieving these dreams is yourself with self-imposed limitations or excuses.

Good luck in the search for a 911, I will hopefully shortly be joining in on that search, just need to fix and sell some broken BMWs lol
Thanks guys.

Glad to hear your results are clear.

If the meds Are in fact talking, keep popping em until that 911 pops up on your driveway

This same car was for sale at a Suzuki dealership for 900k, it then moved somewhere else for 1m, now its here for 1.1??? And asking a premium over the PDKs...
Price definitely a bit questionable. But I haven't seen a 991.1 Manual car in person. Ever.

Pity its a convertible, but that is a much nicer spec car with lower mileage.

Very rare in manual indeed, but they are out there

Why do people hate on verts? Because of marginally higher weight and lower rigidity, which, let’s face it, few would get close to the limit of anyway?

Being able to put the top down adds such a huge dimension it’s a worthy trade off IMO.

Just from my view - the drop top always ruins the lines of the car. So more than anything it's a looks thing (also having a fixed top means less to go wrong).

I hear you - aesthetics are subjective. But few things compare to an al fresco blast in a well sorted car at sunrise or sunset.

I tested a 2012 991 911 Carrera base today from an independent dealer. Sports Chrono, sports exhaust, PDK. It is basically a slightly upgraded version of the 3.4 I had in my Cayman S 981. The lack of low down torque is felt immediately, especially since the 911 is a bit bigger than the Cayman. You need to rev it to get going. Anyway, will look for an S to test drive. It has the 3.8 motor and may be better suited for daily driving with more torque lower down.

In the meantime, I am enjoying the Macan and intend to keep it for a year.

911 991s are a bit overpriced in my view and will wait a bit for the market to stabilize. Not going to rush. Will test drive and analyse a few cars in this time.

Glad all is good, You spot on about the prices, also take your time and enjoy the journey to your next car. Finding time to test drive Porsches, is a good problem to have.

TBH all the water cooled 911s have just crept up a tad too much now.

Seeing 997.1 C2S's in the 700k mark is a bit silly. And even 996.2C4S's are hitting the upper 500k mark. All a tad frothy.

991.1 does give you the nicest mix of modern (ish!) tech and interior quality with space and speed. Still nothing that can compete with any newer turbo but it does have something.

I would love to find a 997.2 C2S manual in a rare-ish colour. But that's proper hens teeth. A few 997.2 GTS cars have gone on sale north of R1m.

@MR_Y take your time. These aren't super duper rare cars. More will hit the market as the 992.2 comes on and guys decide to trade up and so on. Keep us posted though. Exciting times!
