Hope nothing serious, and wish you a full recovery.
Thanks guys.
Hospital results are clear.
But was a long stay getting through the tests and one's mind does think the worst.
Anyway, happy that everything is good.
Also puts things into perspective.
Will see how things pan out over the next year as search goes for a 991.1. Will even consider a private purchase.
This same car was for sale at a Suzuki dealership for 900k, it then moved somewhere else for 1m, now its here for 1.1??? And asking a premium over the PDKs...Manual non chrono 991.1 C2S!![]()

Price definitely a bit questionable. But I haven't seen a 991.1 Manual car in person. Ever. This same car was for sale at a Suzuki dealership for 900k, it then moved somewhere else for 1m, now its here for 1.1??? And asking a premium over the PDKs...

Pity its a convertible, but that is a much nicer spec car with lower mileage.
Very rare in manual indeed, but they are out there
Just from my view - the drop top always ruins the lines of the car. So more than anything it's a looks thing (also having a fixed top means less to go wrong). Why do people hate on verts? Because of marginally higher weight and lower rigidity, which, let’s face it, few would get close to the limit of anyway?
Being able to put the top down adds such a huge dimension it’s a worthy trade off IMO.

I hear you - aesthetics are subjective. But few things compare to an al fresco blast in a well sorted car at sunrise or sunset.
TBH all the water cooled 911s have just crept up a tad too much now.I tested a 2012 991 911 Carrera base today from an independent dealer. Sports Chrono, sports exhaust, PDK. It is basically a slightly upgraded version of the 3.4 I had in my Cayman S 981. The lack of low down torque is felt immediately, especially since the 911 is a bit bigger than the Cayman. You need to rev it to get going. Anyway, will look for an S to test drive. It has the 3.8 motor and may be better suited for daily driving with more torque lower down.
In the meantime, I am enjoying the Macan and intend to keep it for a year.
911 991s are a bit overpriced in my view and will wait a bit for the market to stabilize. Not going to rush. Will test drive and analyse a few cars in this time.
