Hi Gents

Where can I buy a Map sensor from except the dealership in the JHB area?

Also, If I change to the 3.5bar sensor will my software need to be updated?

THanks

How urgently do you need one?

i am fitting a 3.5bar one in the next couple of days....price from bmw for the oem 3.5 bar one is roughly R1800 ex vat/discount...

If you have a Jb4, all you have to do is change the map scaling option on the interface

I know with MHD flash only tunes, there is a change that needs to be made with the map and it can be made during the flash time option by selecting "3.5 bar" option. So it is likely that a software change will need to be made with your car. But best to contact Xcede.

The N54 DME's can see up to 21psi with the stock map sensor. I know the Xcede E40 maps hit 17 or 18psi max. So unless you plan on run more boost in the future, stick with the OEM N54 map sensor.
