Mann servicing products

I'm stockpiling for my big service on the M.
Got the 9 Castrol TWS
Now, I've been researching and found that Mann products are the manufacturs of OEM parts the dealers supply- their numbers are the same as the dealers part numbers
Are these manufacturers supplying SA too?

Jerez - these filters are awesome quality and I'd choose them ahead of everything else in SA. Yes we do get them here, GUD has the import rights for certain types or models I think and they bring in what GUD will not manufacture locally.

My wifes Opel Astra for example has a cabin filter, and I've only ever found a Mann replacement. I currently have a Mann Cabin filter, when compared to both the GUD and the BMW - quality appears better.

So convinced on these Mann's I'm considering importing me a whole lot, just need to get a shelf life on them.

Oil and air filters here are cheaper at the dealer then anywhere else. Fuel and cabin filters are cheaper online.

Not so for all models, a few months back I needed a oil filter for the 318 just before I sold it, IIRC it was about R80 > R90 for a GUD from Midas vs R120 > R130 from the agents.

I think the 330i's was cheaper from the agents, or at least closer price wise, however my comments are more around thier quality.

There's a reason the dealers are called " stealers"
Castrol TWS £20/ ltr from dealer- £15 from Midas equivalent-I asked for a price match and he came down to £16,50




I asked the dealer why such varied pricing for a product sold on the open market - and they gave me their usual BS about that's the price they get it from their suppliers at- I told the parts guy " change your supplier cos he's ripping you off.
I will however do some research before .
Mann are the OEM supplier for BMW parts based on other forums
