Hi

My maintenance plan on BMW 323i is almost out..
Is there a place I can take it to before it ends to do a complete check on my vehicle so that i can go back to BMW for them to sort out while still under plan. Also this place must not interfere with the BMW plan.

Thanks

What did they do the last the car was with BMW?

I'm not to clued up on the E90's, but I would look out for things like the timing belt, suspension bushings, ect. Pretty much anything rubber that has to endure a lot of strain like Engine + gearbox mountings. If any of them show signs of surface cracking or are collapse, replace.

No, but If the mountings are no good, then they have to. Get under the car and have a look at the rubber mountings and bushings. You should be able to tell if they are worn or even old. For the most part, and someone can correct me here, rubber mountings, bushings, and the timings belts are usually replaced around the 100 000km mark.

If you want to check things like the water pump or oil pump, then you have to open it up. Mountings is the easiest thing to check yourself and is easy to tell if they seem a bit worn. If unsure, take picks with a camera that has a flash and post them on the forum.

Don't know if there is much else you can do really, unless you have the engine opened up to see what's what.

If i was you, do a AA report on your car, it costs about R550. Then take any problems to the BMW dealership to repair, b4 ur motorplan expires
