Howzit Guys my e46, 318i, 2000
is giving me a problem i need some advise can any one help me.
i have just changed the maf/o2 sensors with new ones:joy:
because i did a diagnostics test and lambda sensor came up so i changed
it with a universal bosch o2 sensor and my maf was faulty because i tryed
one from a frends car and found that my car idle was beter than ever .
erased error messages but the o2 sensor error still came up so i erased
adaptation & erased message again but still some .
then disconnected the battery for 1/2 a hour reconnected it erased Dme
no errors but the cars idle still dipps from 869 rpms to 500rpms at the robo .
i checked for leaks didnt find any witch one of these two sensor could be
the problem .....:argh:???!

thanks god bless.

Assume you checked your resonator box when you replaced the MAF...my box had a whole in it and was causing the idle problems

The wonders of the generic lambda sensor... Just do some research and order it by the american part number at a shop like take2.co.za and it will be like R500 for the real thing.
