Here is a clip of the car flat out at 321km/h.The approaching sound of the car slicing through the air is as nice as the sound when passed.

Damn. I feel sorry for the bugs smacking the headlights at that speed

Sounds good though, how deafening is it inside the car?

I have seen many a video of m5's and m6's claiming to do similar speeds but none from this point of view and the speed is much more apparent than any other video i have seen
Thanks Joe

Damn... that's poes fast. Wow... So weird that it sounds like a V8. Wish you could get that V10 sound back. Good work none the less.

Found a video of a non V8 sounding M6 on dyno with branches.
There must be too many boxes on the M6 that sound v8ish.[video=youtube]

What tyres are you using, are they rated for +300km/h
I love this motor

Luckily we tested the car before heading to the track. The limits do not work and the car goes into limp mode.We have just loaded settings of 8600rpm and 330km/h and these seem to be acceptable limits.

He needs s/w as well.
Software to follow, but one thing at a time.

I also agree that the BMW branches can't easily be improved on however these have some lumpy cats in place that could be improved on :)

Thanks for the images Andy. The branches being made come straight out and form together where the cat is.This makes for a much better runner and if i am right will give a lot more high rev power due to less restriction. Will post a picture of branches later.
I think the torque might suffer at low rpm but then again you need the power at high rpm when you race.

I just hate it when software guys say they can do something and then when push comes to shove they are just poking around in the dark.
Specs and cutout still exactly the same. :thumbdo:

Talk to OB from Chip Logic. I'm sure he can assist you here with setting of the ecu/software to give you the rev limit and top end that you need.

I don't think he is in JHB area.

I have spoken to him recently and I think he has a place in Midrand somewhere repairing faulty ecu's but George Smooth may be able to assist with some contact details.

Phantom, it's difficult to raise the rev limiter to 8800rpm as the gearbvox suffers shifting at that speed. You will have drama with the SMG. Rather be happy with 8600. The power on the V10 starts dropping off before 8000rpm anyway.

Speed limiter, you tuner can make it whatever he wants.

Pulley, we don't stock anymore. Have to source from a new supplier.
