So friend of mine bought a 2006 M6 V10 with one thing in mind.Make it run. Before you start you need to know where you are. Here are the standard figures up here on the highveld for the standard car.

60ft............2.47secs
1/8mile.......8.6secs..........139km/h
1/4mile......13.17secs........175km/h
1km...........23.47secs........231km/h
1mile.........32.4secs..........260km/h
0-100km/h.........5.27secs
0-200km/h........16.57secs
100-240km/h....19.67secs
Topspeed 264km/h cutout
Car goes in tomorrow for branches and exhaust then we can retest.

Nicely done, some impressive figures there.
This needed to be accompanied with a GoPro vid strapped to the back for that exhaust note.
Both before and especially After.
To be honest, dont think you can improve on the BMW branches though.

I also agree that the BMW branches can't easily be improved on however these have some lumpy cats in place that could be improved on :)

For some reason the branches on the S65 motors aren't as good as the M3(any generation). I think its to do with space and the use of cats therefore by removing the cats from the oem branches you have space to play with.

I know an M5 running around with SuperSprint branches. The car had software, x-pipe and exhaust before the branches but boy did that thing move after the branches.

Software to follow, but one thing at a time.

Thanks for the images Andy. The branches being made come straight out and form together where the cat is.This makes for a much better runner and if i am right will give a lot more high rev power due to less restriction. Will post a picture of branches later.
I think the torque might suffer at low rpm but then again you need the power at high rpm when you race.

I'm a BIG fan of the old M5. Nothing beats that v10 high revving sound.

Keen to see the progress!

Are these branches locally made? How equal are the lengths and how do they compare to Evolve and Supersprint versions? Pricing? Some of the aftermarket branches still give good low down torque
I had my cats removed by OB on Vee Ten GP and took some silencing material out of the exhaust system to keep the standard appearance when in for service. Picked up good power and a superb exhaust sound.
Will be interesting to compare results for the branches and cat removal to just the decat version.
If power and torque are up then I'm also in the market for one. Looking forward to your dyno results as well as the improved acceleration figures.

These are locally made by TNT in Germiston and motorplan not an issue. If we break it we fix it.Don't expect anyone else to pay for the hobby and also allows for going fullout. There is no tiptoeing around motorplan.
Cannot wait to get car back but it's going to be at least a week according to Tom.

Does anyone else know of a V10 with these branches fitted and what sort of power and torque they developed compared to stock since Tom junior has done a couple of them at TNT? Just looking to see a spread of results for a decent comparison

Check with the guys at Xflow, they've done a few. Overseas and locally made

I did a similar mod on my M6... double decat. Xpipe only and back boxes (nothing else in the middle). Car was a different animal after the exhaust & filters. You are going to love what you're building

Looking forward to see how this pans out, cool thread
Decat is still on my list although it is a totally different setup.
