M50B25 Supercharged

I have read up alot on the car, suspension wise, problems and Engine wise, I have come across very few people who are looking to do/have done what I want to do, to more or less the same engine, everyone seems to be turbo or centrifugal S/c, Ive picked up alot in terms of do's and don'ts on many threads, but I'm getting the feeling that this is more of a practical project (do now, think later) I mean its all pretty straight forward if you know your car and the specs. I will probably just buy everything and then try and put it together in my own way and carry on until it works :D Finding the specific answer that I want or asking the same question that I'm crushing my mind with at that moment does not yield many straight answers.

so, Would it work if I say calculate and apply amount of fuel needed, then if possible fit bigger injectors (what size for a 2.5L and will they fit on standard bmw plugs, maybe like bmw 750i injectors???) and then get a unichip and take it to get tuned, then those guys can sort out the air fuel ratio?

The 750i is 5.0L V12 That is two 2.5 6 cyl engines, therefore the injectors would be the same/similar flow as your stock 2.5.

I think you would want something out of a 3.5L or maybe from a 330i

Project standing at this stage due to lack of funding.

Need to get rid of the second engine now, its the M50B25, like mine, but i dont need it any more. pm if any1 is interested.

Hey moranor!

any new developments with you? Yeah I unfortunately bought a new Megane early Feb, so alot of RRRRR's accounted for but I do still want to go ahead with my project.

im thinking of putting a N2O system but im still not sure about it... i can boost more with N2O on a stock engine, but im not sure its right for me if i was drag racing then i would not think twice about N2O, but im not so sure about using it for drifting...

for interest sake, what are our options in terms of larger capacity injectors...without buying aftermarket ones. I mean, if you're rigging up a supercharger setup in you garage, the last thing you want to do is spend R7K on injectors. so what car can you salvage some injectors off and have them cleaned? what is the flow rate of the 330i injectors?

Force_FeedR dont back out...interested in seeing how this will work out.

Back when I was searching for injectors, it seemed that the best option was Audi S3 injectors, second in line A3 1.8t but it depends on how much power you want to make. It is difficult to find a OEM car with high flow rate injectors. 450cc injectors will probably run you in the region of R3k for a set new. You can get nice cheap high flow rate injectors from ebay...

see here for flow rates:

Im not keen on backing out.... just need the funds, its an expensive initiative unfortunately.

Moranor, Ive tried Gumtree, junkmail and here, where else??

i would also try some local guys that sell the parts and see what they will give you for them maybe you get lucky... either way the more people know you have the parts the sooner you will sell

also, I read that the M50b25 exhaust cam can be used as the intake cam and then only need the M3 exhaust cam for exhaust.

M3 exhaust cam won't fit-you need the US M3 exhaust cam.If you getting a US M3 exhaust cam then you may as well get the US M3 inlet cam too
