M50 intake & exhaust cams

Hi fanatics. So I've read that people replace the exhaust cam with an intake cam on the m50 single vanos engines. Has anyone on the forum performed this mod?What are the power gains like and is it plug-and-play or will there be any mods to the head? Remap? The car in question is an e36 325i.

Machine work is needed to do so. The best junkyard cam change to do would be 328i intake cam on the exhaust side and a 330i intake cam on the intake side, both need extensive machining to work though. A remap is a given...
