Whats the story on the bearings

If you check the history, was a big end bearing change done? With mileage being that high I would guess it should've been done by now?

Basically the S54 (E46 M3 - not as many reported but still a likelihood), S65 (E92 M3) and S85 (E60/1 M5 and E63/4 M6) engines suffer from big end bearing failure - its inevitable.

Read through the thread I created before purchasing my M6 >>> Thread
All the info you need is in there, good luck bud!

Welcome and enjoy her! Bearings def need changing, especially if it hasn't been done yet. They fail as early as 50K kms, and once they fail it's a new engine you will be needing.

^^ This... I've never heard any car sound remotely close to this. Hard to describe. But in an absolutely awesome way.
