BMW M has held workshops revealing some technical aspects of the M3/M4. Our coverage and more official specs will come later.

For now, you should know that the BMW M3 and M4 will feature 425 HP and more than 370 LB-FT torque.

Keep in mind that the F80 M3 /F82 M4 will weigh less than the E90/E92 M3.

BMW M3 / BMW M4 front CFRP strut brace. Increased rigidity and weighs 2kgs/5lbs less

I think it's going to be great.:joy:
I wouldn't write too much into the weight being less. Have you noticed this is a point being used by a number of manufacturers nowadays.
The F30 was also supposed to be less than the E90 and on the scales it's actually more. Test was done both cars filled with fuel.
E90LCI 330D .... 1580KG
F30 330D ......... 1597KG :nonono:

Seems like Audi and Merc always wait untill the M3 and now M4 to come out before they release something that will outpower the BMW:thumbdo:

but who the heck cares hahahahaha:rollsmile:

what the heck does a drift sensor do?:fencelook: does it tell motorplan how many times the car has gone sideways or chased its own tail?

BMW if that is what the drift sensor is for, please remove it and save more wieght :fencelook:

There isnt a need for more power when you lower the weight. Dont see how that point is so lost!!!!????
Do a power to weight comparison when the absolute final figures are launched. Then maybe that lightbulb will start working again.

You must remember, BMW's philosophy isnt based around driving a car in a straight line (like VW and Merc) or getting off the line quickly (Audi). BMW is a drivers car. They take corners. It uses all its power the best in that scenario.

Yes bud i'm fully aware of that what i'm saying is while they were doing that they always managed to be infront of the competition in all aspects up and until the E9X M now i'm in no way saying it's not a good car I Like that specific M the most just because of the way the motor can rev and sound V8 with a 8.4k redline :inlove: :praise:
It's just that people in general do not buy these cars to take them to the track were they shine they are used as people's daily drives

Drifting is over rated, driving fast in straight line is more impressive:thumbs:
