hi guys,

anyways , found the specs..

e46 m3 discs

diameter : 325mm
thickness : 28mm
height : 52.5mm
spigot : 79mm

e46 330d , 330i

diameter : 325mm
thickness : 25mm
height : 52.7mm
spigot : 79mm

seems to me m3 discs can be substituted for 330d,330i discs.. giving your 330 brakes a little more fade resistance due to more thermal inertia from the thicker discs (28mm vs. 25mm)

so anyone here know where the m3 discs might be bought at a reasonable price? (obviously not from stealers)

Thanks! And the rear, iirc the diameter is slightly larger on the rear disks - 336mm. Or are the other three dimensions the same as above?

e46 M3 have a 345mm rotor in front and 328mm in the back according to EBC disc applications 2008

so to make a long story short, i went with 330d discs again,

because even though the m3 discs are the exact same dimensions (ONLY differance is they are 3mm thicker than 330d/330i discs),

the m3 discs are 3 times the price!! crazy stuff :mmm:

Next time try to get prices on Alpha international discs (most brake fitters can get parts from them/call them directly for your nearest reseller). It should cost a little less.

Is the wear limit not 4mm on your car? That would mean that you technically only have 1mm left on your new discs?

lol, seriously guys, read threads from the begining.. the point of this thread was to fit m3 28mm thick discs to a 330d with stock 25mm thick discs.. not the other way around..

anyways alfa does not make m3 discs..

the difference between non m3 and m3 brakes is not only the thickness.

m3 discs are drilled, and floating

a 5 second google would also confirm that those are brakes from USA spec m3's, not euro spec, which the locally available parts are :)

another 5 second google will confirm that they can be bought off ebay or any other online e-tailer.. :)

we'll just agree to disagree i guess
