Amazing project! My wallet hurts just reading about this

This looks like an auto, is it?

Is this your first entry into the BMW CG series?

This has become my new fix. Pumping this thread straight into my veins. Don't even care if the pictures are upside down! Thank you for more pictures.

Please tell usa more about your plan for the diff. Are you going to put a quaiffe in?

A Quaiffe bolt in diff would not be ideal as it simply would not survive season after season,
We looked at the M Performance diff for the M235i but its only a 30% locking diff and 9% locking on deceleration .

The simple answer is to do what everyone else racing locally does, send it to a specialist in durban who machines off the crown wheel and builds a multiplate clutch 100% locking diff.
Our diff arrived there in december and unfortunately hoildays mean we going to struggle to have it back by end jan.

UPDATE:

The front spacers and wheel studs arrived,
so we test fitted everything... nothing is bolted on in the pics, they just hanging for now.

Oil cooler is spaced and we making a bracket for it at the moment, same will be done for the trans cooler.

We also finally sorted the seats mounting and drilled the support bars... so we getting there.

Waiting on customs to clear the KW Coilovers and the roof to be completed.
Once we get those we can put the lexan and glass back in and drive it!

Hi Ian

Well Done and welcome to the series!!
Looking forward to seeing it on track!!
I predict you should be in Class B, with some more development should be competitive in Class A
Hope the management system holds up, one of the new guys with a E92 335i is having continuous Limp Mode issues

PS as Chairman I need to Test Drive ?

Some of the Class A Front runners in the series
