So after a long vacation from BMW's for myself, I just pulled the trigger on a sweet Z4M roadster today.
Expect to take delivery some time in the week.

Can't wait.

It's a 2009 with 52000kms on it in imola red
It is in pristine condition from what I can see
It is still on motor plan till the end of the year as well.

My first venture into these little roadsters so am excited but nervous at the same time.
I am used to the much bigger cars.

Anything to be on the lookout for?

Ahhh so you are the one that got it before me. Congrats. Was on my way to Helderview yesterday to sign the OTP when Wesley called to tell me.

You must have seen it go up for sale on Saturday, I only noticed Sunday.

Congrats.

Would have been nicer to have more than 3 months motorplan though.

Thanks guys
Mike, I currently have a Lumina V8 so loose back ends I am used to
Ant, yes saw it Saturday morning, rushed through and asked them to keep it for me. You have a baby to worry about, so leave the cars for a bit man

Took delivery today and all I can say is WOW!
This car is a machine
It's so strong through the the rev range and that sound of the inline 6 is just awesome
So glad I decided to go for it

Thanks Andy
I read online that the standard mod on this is a CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) deletion.
Have you done this?
The clutch and gear engagement takes some getting used to

Gorgeous Car! I have mine for 4 months now... what a pleasure taking it out of the garage on the weekends. They do tend to attract a lot of attention, especially since mine is the M Coupe version :=):

I am staying at Arabella for three days and this morning decided to get up a bit early and hit the road at about 7am.
This is very early for me

A bit overcast so a jacket was in order.
Put the top down and decided to go the R44 route.
My meeting was to start at 10m so I had about 3 hours in total including breakfast.

Boy oh boy oh boy!!!!
Must have been one of the best drives ever for me.

Lets get the obvious issues out of the way. This car is NOT practical so stop asking
It is not for the family but for ME so it is a bit shelfish i suppose
Can you tell I have been getting this stupid question all the time

Also, the clutch does not like traffic and it is a bit notchy and takes a bit of getting used to.

Other than that it is sublime.
This R44 as you know is an awesome stretch of road with some nice straights and some gorgeous twisty bends.
Now at that time of the morning and during a work day, the road is quiet and not a cop in sight

When you start wringing this things neck, everything comes together beautifully and becomes incredibly rewarding.
That M motor is a gem of note and the whole package sings in harmony.
Pushing the sports button sharpens the throttle response nicely and you feel yourself wanting to push further

At higher speeds on the straights i felt a bit nervous given that the top was down - weird sensation if you are not used to it.

This morning, this road, this car - I was at peace with the world and i knew then that this is motoring heaven.

I am stoked with this little car - a feeling i never thought was possible after the Lumina
I very different animal, but an animal none the less.

Cheers

Congrats!!! with this being an 09 you still have the option to renew motor plan for another year, get a quote from a dealer might be worth it...

Eish sorry, just a thought as I had an E60 M5 that I extended the plan for a year and took full advantage of it, R35k for the extension, motor plan spend in that year was R320k plus
