So after a few weeks of ownership, still enjoying it thoroughly.
I never like convertables but i must admit I have been going 'topless' almost everyday, barring a few cold and rainy days.

Couple of issues i have picked up so far that is annoying me:

- the clutch in first and second is horrible to drive - exploring the CDV deletion post motor plan
- Car occationally stalls when disengaging clutch approaching a stop, almost seems as if its idling to low and then cuts out
- using the Aux seems to be very complicated, thought you plug in teh cable and thats it, but seem to have to aggitate it a bit to find the sweet spot then it plays.
- still waiting for Helderberg to get my part for the passenger seat to move it back and forth, nearly two months now. really irritated with them now and have said so to the salesman

Other than that, all is going well.

Any inputs on the above will be appreciated

I once test drove an M Roadster, and it did this - and i remember seeing comments on the motor plan about them trying to solve it. Strange.. Idle Control valve maybe? My M3 certainly doesnt do it..

In the following link there are some musings about it possibly being fuel, but ultimately they owner also wonders if its ICV

Not sure if this helps but my M Roadster idles at a slightly higher RPM than my M3. Not sure how it was done but perhaps something you could explore?

Mine does the same as above…

The cutting out isn't always a problem but def worse when cold.

- the clutch in first and second is horrible to drive - exploring the CDV deletion post motor plan (I did mine whilst under plan and also had them replace the clutch and flywheel while it was removed - you over estimate the dealerships)
- Car occationally stalls when disengaging clutch approaching a stop, almost seems as if its idling to low and then cuts out (Idle control valve - cleaning it sorts it out. The Z4M has the Mss70 DME opposed to the Mss54 on the M3 so one can't quite compare the engines. They behave differently)
- using the Aux seems to be very complicated, thought you plug in teh cable and thats it, but seem to have to aggitate it a bit to find the sweet spot then it plays. (I also have this issue but live with it)
- still waiting for Helderberg to get my part for the passenger seat to move it back and forth, nearly two months now. really irritated with them now and have said so to the salesman

Not to my taste, but if you like them go for it. Just keep the originals for when it comes time to sell :)
