OP my only advice will be to listen to the advive you've been given. And if your budget does not allow for say a 335i then rather consider the E90 320d M Sport route. Doesn't help you go after the 320i coupe and end up with more issues then you could care for.

@brandonbmw I can vouch for the E92 325i N52 it is bullet proof. I use my car as a daily driver. Bought it with 86000km and it now has 130000km on the clock all long distance driven from Kraaifontein to Tokai 2 to 3 times a week and it has never let me down. I have a 6 SPD Auto with a ZF box. The standard Drive setting feels a little sluggish but the Drive Sport and Manual is incredible. I average 10.2 for fuel usage backwards and forwards to and from work but I've average 8.6 on longer distances out of town. If I could make a recommendation, buy non run flats ASAP, for me the drive is really hard. I love my E92 and hope you find one. Will keep my eyes and ears open.

Update, BMW Tygervalley got it wrong. I have GM Box in my vehicle, thanks to Nico from ZF Services in Cape Town for letting me know.
