So firstly BIG thanks to Sherwin at Xcede, Sanjay at The 357 and Shaun (Phoenix) for advice, info and help!
I went with Boodmod3 in the end as it seemed like the best match for my needs and my own comfort.
There isn't really much to show (and lighting wasn't the greatest). EXCUSE THE DUSTY SCREEN LMFAO.
You register an account and download the agent software. I did a trial last night just to make sure the agent and the website could read the VIN etc.
Earlier today, I bought the license and was instantly sent an activation key to my email. At this point the agent was running and I was logged in to bootmod3.net. Pop in the key, hit ACTIVATE and your license is married to your car.
Next step was choosing a map. Again, the advice of the guys above was invaluable. Hit flash and make sure you have a stiff drink on hand and plenty of fresh air if it's your first time.
It was a little nerve-wracking since (in true progress bar style) it stops at eg: 3% for a while, 80% etc and you wonder if it has frozen LOL.
A ton of error messages show up during the process as well, but they are all cleared at the end - brake failure, stability control failure, engine overheated, replace oil, parking brake not fully effective... etc etc etc.
The entire process took less than 10 minutes including buying the key
I haven't had much time to drive it so far, but initial impressions are very good. Throttle response is very different and using some key points on a short drive, the improvement is SIGNIFICANT even without adapting.
Will post more thoughts in coming weeks.
