:skit: Nope Tape only - once the cops pointed out my front one on my Z4 is cracked - Quite bad in the middle almost like a big stone hit it about the size of a tennis ball - he said I might want to get a new plate, but he was not bothered because it was perspex at all. :=):Quick///M said:MikeR said:Ive been stopped in all my cars and not one single complaint about the Perspex plates, and the guys have checked

Even though we get them with sans emblem they are not as per legislation and law
However - the Cops dnt always check this
They should be more concerned that the plates are not Revited onto car as that is also law.
FYI
We are coming out now with a NATIONAL Plate that will be implemented in the country.
Not happy about this - but call from the big boys/Minsters

I'm still fighting this one as it will have massive impact as they wont be valid.Llew@TheFanatics said:Psypher13 said:Perspex plates are not Legal as they are not SANS Approved

Any idea what the national plate will mean for those who have regional personalised plates like me? Or the 3+3 plates in GP?
I haven't had issues having my front plate on with velcro in Gauteng. In KZN they are a lot harsher and even prod or pull the plate to see (I've had this done many times down there)... but never received a fine, just a lot of lip and warning to secure it properly (I guess as long as you have a plate at the time they don't care enough to fine you?)
I've had perspex up in GP for ages now (granted ZN plates) with no issues...
