So skip forward what felt like a few weeks, but was more like months. I didn't think the interior was that bad, but still wanted it to get it better.
I normally start with the least aggressive option and work my way up. I had also purchased a scrub pad which did not feel aggressive but seemed to loosen the dirt easily. I did also use my steamer, but since it's not one made for cars, I felt it was creating more water droplets than steam.
Clearly there has been a fair amount of trim silicon or similar applied over time. Driver door had dirt in the usual spot like where you rest your arm
I do prefer the clean Matt finish
The water after cleaning the driver door pad And surrounding plastics was worse than initially thought.
