I could only take so much of looking at the tailpipes. I decided to remove them to get to all the hard to reach areas.

Nice one bud. Was nice meeting you at the Ice
cream run and chatting also. Car looks really greet and even better now with those tips finally to your satisfaction.

Same here, was great putting a face to the name. I am a bit surprised regarding how little room for adjustment there is with these slip on tips. There are some plans in the pipeline which will have to see these tips getting modified.

And so it begins. No thanks to @Schalk94 for forcing me and twisting my arm to do the first mod :)

While there is a certain amount of class that comes with Chrome parts on cars like this, I still prefer dual slat grills. Peeling off protective covers off something as glossy as this is definitely some ASMR

I tried to clean behind the grills but it didn't 'look better but lots of dirt came off.

I had contacted Firi before taking delivery of the car and we had discussed what options there were for the G30. I initially put the cosmetics on hold as I wanted to fit some PPF on the bumper , side mirrors, bonnet and fenders. In my spare time I decided to try a products by Xpel to protect the door edge as well as the high traffic areas like the door sills and rear bumper myself. No pics unfortunately but applying PPF is definitely a skill.

I also noticed that the interior trims are so easily scratched and the gloss black trims did not look pretty. I managed to find a pre cut PPF set for G30 on Amazon and attempted to fit those. In my haste to purchase, I didn't realise that I purchased the lci kit, so while most fit, some don't.

After. Personally I like the finish and gloss. It loses the textured feel, but not a worry for me.

As it stands all the aluminum rhombicle trims are covered, most of the gloss black trims except those that didn't fit. Unfortunately the dash wouldn't work, so I will look for that one

Then came the daunting task...

Special thanks to @FiRi@Rennzport for sending the parts through as quickly as he did. He had faith that I could fit them myself :)
I progressed quite slowly but got there eventually.

After fitting the rear diffuser , I realised that the mperformance tips with the carbon are bigger than normal. The diffuser would not fit on unless I removed the tips. It meant I would have to get the tips changed or modified to fit20240324_111212.jpg
I chose to modify.
