Lack in Power. plz HELP!

I have an e46 330i. recently ive been experiencing a lack in power at around 1000rpm but the power kicks in again at around 3000rpm. ive heard that this might be due to the vanos seals. any advice on the prob would be much appreciated. also if it is the vanos seals aprox how much will it be to replace?

Best option would be to get diagnostics done as a first step, should give you a better idea of exactly is going on.

You might also be looking at other things that might be wrong, like the MAF or cam position sensor, etc....

If ur in joburg, I got bmw dis gt1 running can do a free diagnostic for you, it will be able to compare factory values to current values on the car including cam sensor angles and vanos offset angles etc etc... could be tons of things and we can check them all in like 30 mins. pm me

All sorted ppl. it was the exhaust cam sensor. replaced it n my car is flying:rollsmile:
