Can anyone refer me to affordable key maker/s? :dunno:
Unfortunately I didn't receive a spare key/s when I bought my 2002 320i Exclusive from a private seller, and he also didn't receive a set from the previous owner. :hammerhead:

I am situated in the Pretoria - Centurion area.

Just like to share my experience with you guys regarding drivesure!! What a great service. I came all the way from Australia to have my key cut and coded here. The proof will be in the pudding when i return and turn that new key in my ignition. They really offer a great service. Sent them my keys from Kimberley and it was back the very next day after it was done!! Great work!!!

Regarding Drivesure, my spare key's battery had gone bye-bye and decided to give them a try. It's the E46/E39 key that has a rechargeable battery in it, which requires to be cut open. New key from dealer, R1800. Went to them, 15 minutes and R160 later spare key sorted. I'm not gonna say they are the most formally set-up "company" you'll ever come across, but they know their stuff and it was a pretty painless affair. Well worth it.

The R160 was for a new battery and labour to cut existing key open and fit, as well as recode, although my key did not need recode. Not sure what a new key would cost, but if you have an existing key, they can cut you a new one. It will be substantially less than the dealer and won't take 2 weeks. http://www.drivesure.co.za
