Hello Fanatics :=):

This has been overdue for some time so apologies for that but here goes:rollsmile:

A few months back I decided that it’s time to move on from the 330ci and get myself a 1 series coupe as I have been wanting one for a while now. My first choice was obviously a 135i but after weighing out my options in regards to my current job and the traveling I do I decided a 120d would fit the spec in regards to maintenance , fuel range and as well as finances are concerned.

So here are the specs below :

2011 Space Grey 120d steptronic 130KW 350NM
Advantage + M Sport pack
Xenon Headlights/Headlight washer system
LED strips on the tail lights
Sunroof
Anti-Dazzle mirrors ,review and both side mirrors
Auto headlights and wipers
BMW Professional radio with Hi-Fi loudspeaker system
Auto folding mirrors
Extended Light package
PDC Front and Rear
Shadow-Line gloss trimmings
Black leather

I must say it’s quiet a well specked 120D

Before taking delivery I had already made a small mod list which I wanted to do on the car and it was as follows.

Cosmetics:
White LED angel Rings
LED Fogs
Gloss black Kidney Grills
CF Front Splitter
CF Mirror Covers
CF Performance Boot spoiler
CF Diffuser
LCI Taillights

Performance :
Drop in air filter (K&N /BMC)
Downpipe
Software
Possible exhaust plus tail pipes

And then at a later stage:
Bigger intercooler
Bigger Turbo
Better boost piping …etc…

Pics :

These are pics from the first week of owning this baby and I will update in a bit of the mods I have already completed.

Thanks mate , Love the colour as well but my first choice was Lemans blue which is a real hard gem to find...

I firstly started off with a set of gloss black kidneys and at the same time CF splitters came my way so I took the opportunity to purchase and install together .

I must say installing the grills are quiet straight forward , you simply unclip from the inside and wiggle it out  To those who are considering changing their grills , just a heads up when trying to pull the old ones out you have to really watch which angel you pull them as you can quiet easily damage the paint with the clips of the grill…

CF splitters are aftermarket so fitment was not 100% , after a bit of sanding I managed to get it to fit better and managed to hold them down well with some double sided tape plus these splitters also bolt on from under ….

Finally Kamz, well done. I love this car.

Gave it a small polish on Sunday and was telling my brother that I should have bought one of these instead of the Mini. Such a good looking car.

Post pics of the CF stuff, they look soo good.

I then decided it was time to get myself the LED bulbs for the angel eyes(Thanks for the referral UpNcoming) , TBH BMW could of really designed the 1 series coronas of the angel rings way better as firstly the bulb sits in the inner angel ring which actually makes the inner angel ring always brighter than the outer… and in return the outer ring is quiet dim cause of the poor design ….

Installation was pretty much straight forward , old bulb out new bulb in and a snug place to keep the small ballast it comes with.

Once that was done I came across a rear diffuser so took the opportunity and purchased , apparently this came from Carbon sport so once again its aftermarket so fitting was a challenge , the clips now and then pop out which I will get sorted once I have time to modify for a snug tight fit, also didn’t like the mesh grill bit so might change that in the near future.

I then purchased an OEM performance boot spoiler and OEM Mirror caps from a forum member , I must say you have to appreciate the quality and fitment of OEM goodies even though it’s too pricey , no hassle no fuss fits perfect as it should!

Once that was complete the car then had all the carbon goodies that I wished for .

I decided I wanted a more dark look to the car so I decided to add Laminx in the mix of things last week and here was the results…

Hope you guys enjoy :ty:
