Hi Guys

thought I'd rather start a new thread for the build of my N54. And leave the introduction thread as such. So just to give most of you an update. My N54 currently has a base of 194wkw 260whp and 441nm, its on 86000kms.
List of part going in Today/Tomorrow
1.) JB4 Stage 3
2.) DCI
3.) CP & BOV
4.) DP

The FMIC should make it in, in the next few weeks. Just waiting for stock.

Nice list of mods.

You might want to consider removing the mid cats, and replacing them with resonators once the DP's are in.
Those mid cats cause quite a bit of noise/drone.
Which ever exhaust shop thats fitting the DP's will be able to assist.

And you will love your new 135!

@BMSPORTZN,

Where would you find resonators?

What would happen if the exhaust shop just cut the mid cats out and ran the pipe straight through? can you live with this? what about drone?

I need some advice cause my down pipes are being fitted in 900kms time.

thanks,

Burgy,

I sent you a PM regarding a charge pipe.

Did you get it?

Its all different strokes for different folks.

You can run straight midpipes if you want, but it all depends on how much noise you want the car to make.
If youre still running your standard exhaust, with the mid silencer and stock rear silencer you can probably get away with straight pipes and not too much noise.

I have the PE fitted on mine, and i didn't want to make it any louder, so i opted for the resonators. Any and all exhaust shops will stock them and will be willing to change them over for you.

You can also look into the route of fitting the N55 midpipes on the N54.

Theyre already catless and it comes with the silencer.

At the end of the day, its all up to you.

CP - Charge pipe (black pipe in pic)
BOV - Blow off valve - dump valve etc (black thingy on the black pipe in pic)
DCI - Dual cone intake. (Cause of two turbos)

Hope it helps.

Awesome thread,
Would an upgrade to the HPFP not also be a worthwhile upgrade considering the pump fails often in stock tune/state?
