Awesome thread,
Would an upgrade to the HPFP not also be a worthwhile upgrade considering the pump fails often in stock tune/state?

Unfortunately there are no proven worthwhile upgrades to the BMW HPFP at the moment, especially in terms of reliability.

There is an additional HPFP/fuel rail system from VARGAS that's in early production phase, but that is meant for big turbo N54 conversions.

Its actually the LPFP that you should be looking at upgrading. Especially if you are going to start running ethanol.

@BMSPORTZN,

Where would you find resonators?

What would happen if the exhaust shop just cut the mid cats out and ran the pipe straight through? can you live with this? what about drone?

I need some advice cause my down pipes are being fitted in 900kms time.

thanks,

Burgy,

I sent you a PM regarding a charge pipe.

Did you get it?

Mr turbo has the resonators

What lpfp you recommend JP? I found a 255lph Walbro at spitronics for R2200..Just not sure if it will be support e85..Busy Doing some Fuelling Research..I'll pop Terry a mail too and find out what route he went with the e85 setup.

What DCI's are you using?

Simota dry, I'll give them a go and see how they are. Burgy said flow rate is the same as the more expensive options under the Jb4, stock the BMS ect filters give better rate. Also doing resonators now while they doing dp...btw..

Just as long as you run the 255 inline with your stock LPFP you'll be good with a high ethanol content. You can get ethanol pumps from walbro, at what cost i'm not sure, but i believe the guys a 450lpfp then as a replacement for the stock pump.

Almost 100% sure that's what Burgy said he wanted to do. Add a secondary and keep the stock one in there. , I'll do that with the cooler then.

Yep, thats what I wanted to do with the fuel pumps.

The Dci's are simota dry filters, after quite a bit of testing, the flow rate (g/s) of air was the same as the more expensive Injen, K&N and Bmc filters.

Resonators are being put in as we speak, definitely worth while doing with the downpipes.

Nic, that hoodie rocks!

Thanks for the kind words.. the beast should be finished tomorrow morning
