I'm using the JB4 up on the reed and its still pretty new on the car but really have no complaints its all running smoothly on map 5

Twinz can I ask: I got the usb cable but I've left it in the ECU box is there a way to get the cable out and into the car and still be able to close the box that's the only part of the install I struggled with

Do you have the N54 motor?

Yes, you can push the cable through the firewall or the glove box and tuck it on the side of the passenger footwell.

If you close to Leonard the dent doctor then he will do it for you in his sleep :=):
Very easy but also very convenient to datalog or upload the latest updates.

i think he means how do you get it out the ecu box without leaving the ecu box unsealed? and if he didnt mean that i would like to ask that question :)

Ok. Its pretty easy. You will notice after you remove the ecu cover that it has about 3 or 4 grommets already, through which wiring runs.

If you check on the other side behind and towards the bottom of the red power fuse you will see a hole in the ecu box that leads to the glovebox. The usb part of the cable is pushed through there. The ecu box cover must always be locked in place. Never leave the ecu box without its cover.

What I did was I pushed the rubber grommet downwards as much as I could.I was then able to push the cable through the gap with the ecu lid still being able to close perfectly.Works like a charm for me and when I'm done,it neatly tucks in the ecu housing. Also try and get a cap to protect the USB connector from dust

Yes, we do have the JB4 for some diesels. Drop me a PM with the details of the car and I can check against your model.

I will add the direct links to the interface & firmware in the first post a little later. For N54 & N55. Please email logs to me as well. We have a better understanding of local conditions than the US.
