It depends on the map you have chosen.

My launch gear is second gear (15psi) but the max psi on map 6 is set at 20Psi. So launching off 15psi is more than adequate because you will shift into 3rd gear at 6100rpms which comes up fast and dirty.

You will still get wheel spin in second gear but not so bad.

Hi all,

So went to Tarlton and got times down a little with limiting psi in 1st, however I have 2 codes that came up afterwards, 1) 29F2 fuel high pressure system, fuel pressure 2) 2F9E Termic oil level sensor

Now when I drove home and acelerated it feels ike JB4 just disconnects, so i switch the car off and on and goes well again, but as soon as I am on the throttle too long it disconnects again. So my question is it the HPFP or is map 5 with octane too thirsty?

Anyone know what the second code is for?

Skiet only saw this now. The Jb4 basically cuts the power to stock to protect the engine when there is something wrong with the car.

I will check on the third code and revert. What was the fuel mix on the day of the run?

* The only references i get relates to the oil level that has to be checked. The quality of oil may also play a role but check oil level first. If that is in order than the oil sensor itself may have malfuction. When was the last oil check?

* After having checked the oil level and if that is in order put the car on Map 0 which bypasses the Jb and see if the car throws a limp mode again.

* Bad fuel or a poor mix of fuel could also induce a limp.

Keep us posted.

Hi Twinz,

When I drive on map 0 have no issues at all.

But once I go to map 5 it splutters so think my HPFP is coming to an end, now currently I have no octane in and it still happens on map5.

Taking jb out tonight and booking her at the dealer.

I think the oil sensor code is the sensor itself as when i do an oil check it displays no bar with progress.

HPFP was going to go sooner or later, maybe she will run stronger with a newer fuel pump in...

HPFP is a nasty thing. On my fisrt 335 it went even though the car was stock for the first year.

Agree, have it replaced. The new one will make your car a monster again.

Sorry missed this! The G5 board is incredible. It holds boost so much better.Boost comes in really hard as well. It's a huge improvement especially coming from the 18 ohm board..:praise::praise:

Tending to a couple of things on the car but as soon as it sorted, straight to the dyno..

Reading Outlaw's post has me drooling at the JB4 with the g5 board.Mine has been shipped last week Wednesday and should be here soon :joy: With the previous software that I had on my car,I hardly encountered anyone on the road for a "quicky" but as "Murphy's Law" would have it now that my car is standard, every Tom,Dick and Harry wants to have a go at me on a daily basis:argh:

Like they say in afrikaans,"My stert jik",very soon all will be well.I can't wait, gotta luv the boost:joy:
