I feel your pain, had pretty much given up looking on classified sites as most were either ridiculously expensive or complete raging dumpster fires, or as it is known in the e30 selling world "Completely original, needs some minor TLC"

This one actually never came up for sale, a friend of mine that works at dealer let me know that an old gentleman came by the dealership and was looking at trading it in, so I swooped.

Great car. Mileage is really low for the model. Any plans to mod or are you keeping the stock look? Personally I would keep the stock look. There aren't many original one's around.
I agree the plan is to keep the look stock, I actually don't have any plans to change anything really. This being said I did change the wheels because it needed a change in tires and set of wheels with tires came up for sale that I though would look good, well pics will follow so I will each judge for themselves.

So as mentioned here the only thing I have changed so far are the wheels, reason being a change of tires was desperately needed and as per usual there was a set of wheels with tires that came up for sale, and it being easier just to fit a different set of wheels than looking for new tires. This and the fact that I like the wheel style and I thought it would look good on the car I snapped them up. However after fitting them I am not so sure. Anyhow I will let everyone judge for themselves:

I thinl they look good, but the only thing that doesnt look right to me is the wheel gap which looks to be huge? Is that the standard wheel gap?

Wheels work. Maybe time for a little low. Just a little.

Also, I found that the whole look of mine changed when I fitted the BMW mudflaps. They not that expensive, think it was something like R600 or so for a set.

That looks like standard height to me.

Beautiful car. I vote put back the originals and leave it stock and how it was meant to look.
No offense, but this way, it just looks like yet another e30 with aftermarket wheels.

Whenever I look at the E30 shape I'm amazed at how the 3 series has grown in terms of size compared to the E30. I think the current 3 is the size of the E28 5 series. :biglol:

The thing is yes, I agree, I do believe that just a little bit of extra low will sort it out, but this is actually the kind of thing i am trying to avoid, I want at least one car that I am not spending a whole load of cash on things that it doens't actually need. Maybe this idea was doomed from the start.

I will see regarding the mudflaps, as I am not a big fan.

Thank you and I agree completely it does look like "just another e30" with these wheels
