So I have had BOLT since August 2012 and its about time I give you guys an introduction.

Bolt: 1980, white with grey leather. Sports gearbox (dogleg) and a full service history over the 419 000km. As far as I can tell I am the 3rd owner. The car has lived here in Johannesburg all its life. The previous owner was a German guy who imported all parts he could and kept the car garaged and serviced

I found it on Gumtree and only went to look out of curiosity and not to buy it.... ( I had my heart set on a Merc 450slc) Never go look at a 635 out of curiosity. LOVE on first drive. The dealer let me take the car out without being accompanied... Just me, the 6 and a highway. WOW

Problems on the 6: The guys at BMW blew an electrical module the day after I picked it up. The said it would take weeks to fix and that it was my issue because I didnt check the car in with them. An auto electriation fixed it in 2 days for R645,00
The AC is not working
The sunroof is not working
An oil leak.

The car has been resprayed and I suspect an accident in its past 33 years.

Otherwise its amazing. The only thing I have had to do so far is get new exhaust rings connected and it will go for a service soon.

So here is BOLT

Forgot to add interior pictures. No cracks on the dash  The seats are in great condition, sad its not the recaro seats. The drivers seat needs slight attention. The fitted carpets are in amazing condition.

Another E24 in the house!

How did the name BOLT come to be? :=):

I bought the car as a birthday gift to myself.
1. Usain Bolt and I share the same birthday.
2. The electrical problems on the first day. (electrical bolt)
3. The cars 0 - 100 is a similar time it takes Usain Bolt to run 100m

I also think it sounds rugged at that's what the car is.
