Actually with negotiation, the lowest they were willing to go on my E90 was R3500, 23 at the time of quote and no accidents in the past 3 years.

I'm now paying R559 a month on my 2010 E90 320d

I was with Virgin money until this month. Saved R1000 per month by changing to Amucus Brokers. Neil got me more cover at and saved me R1000 per month for the following:

New car - taking delivery this week

2 cellphones

Jewelery
Etc

2.2k for all that. Inc car hire.

R1000 flat excess.

I call bullshit with that survey. How can they base results on hellopeter listings? What if more people write about one company than the other?

Auto&General are the biggest scumbags of them all. My SO tried to claim for damage caused to her paint by someone else, and they told her that her normal comprehensive cover does not cover for paint. For that, she has to pay an extra R160.00 per month.

I'm dead serious, they gave me a quote for R770 and I told the consultant I am a paraplegic and she said she had to adjust the payment to R850 :fencelook:

The best is go get a recommended broker who fights for your side. My broker has been with the family for over a decade now and we get proper advice about what needs to be insured and for how much. All the quotes I got on hippo were more than what the broker got through santam. And we are currently negotiating a discount.
