Info needed on E46

Hi

I have noticed that our BMW sits lower to the ground on the right rear side. I have actually measured this and the height from the ground differs by just over 12mm. I know this is a small difference, but you actually notice it. Since I have noted this I have been checking out all E46 BMW's and have found the same thing on a couple of them, but just on the facelift model. What could possibly cause this?

What engine is in the 2005 E46 318i and does it have valvetronic and vanos?

Thanks

They are designed to be left hand drive, so all the heavy stuff is on the right hand side - battery, engine slants to the right etc, to balance it out when the only the driver is in the car. When the driver is on the right hand-side, there is a lot more weight on the right side, and the springs will start to sag over time. Mine is more than 20mm lower (e39)...

The general consensus is exactly this :thumb: Check this thread http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f18/2000-e46-323ci-does-your-e46-sit-lower-t27088/ for quite a discussion on it.....
