Im new and looking for some help :)

Hi all im new to this forum and well i duno if im posting this in the right place but anyways.Currently im busy rebuilding my '95 e36 325i and theres afew things i need help with.

Firstly in the engine bay there is a noise like a ratly chain any advice on what it is and how to fix it?

then when trying to start the car sometimes the motor turn and turns but wont start,takes about 3 trys and then it starts

and last thing is im trying to find a place or a person selling spares for my car, im mainly looking for a complete interior( all 4 door panels and the 2 front seats and back seat)ive been to afew places around booysens but ive had no luck in finding wat i need

any help will be great

Howzit. First thing is change the oil and see what it does to the rattle. Then if persists look at changing the chain tensioners. They do wear out, however been an E36 325 it could be other things causing the rattle-VANOS or lifters etc....Car not starting first time could be a fuel pump or relay issue or even starter motor or something. Having the codes read could provide some useful insight into this issue :thumbsup

Welcome! 95 E36 is a vanos engine it could be a few things, where about are you based? and in terms of the interior panels there are a few race car builds on this forum most are e36s im sure some of the owners will have some items for sale
