OK guys, this one is getting nowhere! Should I give it away?

Or maybe one last set of clues?

Or post another easier one! BTW, who da man now! :fishwack:

Well done Prado, you beat me like a drum. lol
Although, I am writing tests so my attention was divided (sad excuse but I'll stick to it)

It is the BMW Monti Bergspyder.
I should have known this one, I'm even sure my drool is still over the one in the BMW museum... But that one had a much longer and sharper nose, I think it was a later one.

The car in the museum even had the "Apfelbeck" diametral head!!!! It is a straight-4 2l with 16 valves and 8 inlet ports and 8 exhaust ports! Crazy stuff. That engine is quite amazing, made about 330bhp. Not bad I would say... Just look and drool...

Anyway. Well done!

ps. this engine had mechanical sequential injection, full magnesium head, dry sump, slide throttles, and crazy compression ratio since the exhaust valves are much cooler in the engine. All this in 1968! I love it

Anyway. Well done!

THAT MOTOR IS AMAZING! They really turned out some hair raising 4 cylinders then! If I recall correctly, the 1983 F1 World Champion winner, Nelson Piquet drove a 1500cc motor back then!

Yup, and the scary part is that ALL these engines, M10, m12/7 (F2 N/A), m12/13 (F1 turbo) and S14 (e30 M3) all used the same engine block from the 2002 that was designed in 1960 somewhere! These engines made from 60bhp - 350bhp N/A, and 170bhp - 1300bhp with forced induction. The m12/7 spun up to 12 000 rpm. Crazy stuff. Gotta love BMW.

I will post a new car a bit later.

Regards
Jacques
