How to Remove and assemble 318I/318IS head

has anyone done this before and are there any tips hints and precautions to check out!!

need to send my head in, but just worried about the timing when putting it back.

Get yourself a Haynes manual on the E36 from Motorbooks. Its all explained in there along with the torque numbers and proceedures of torqueing the head down.
