My "personal" opinion, based on my own "Geriatric" values and taste

If it is done on a "sport" vehicle that has other other tastefull mods done to it, then yes
If it is done on a stock standard "elegant" vehicle, with no other sporty enhancements, then no

your example of a stock 3 series, looking elegant, NO, on an slightly more aggresive 1M possibly yes

but as I said...I have "Geriatric" tendencies when it comes to taste

And these three - stock standard 3 series 320d with the grey rim skin (what we call natural) the Black on Black and then a sporty 1 Series with Yellow. I personally like the white on white even on our Kia Sportage but then again I also have a yellow on a silver car and folks give me the:skit:
