Good Morning Fanatics!

Today I give you the Honda FRV.

My client booked the car in for an Exterior Enhancement, with the idea being to remove as many swirl marks as possible and bring back some shine.

The paintwork was in a fairly poor condition with loads of Holograms, swirling and RDS.

Under direct lighting the actual damage was even more devastating:

This followed with two passes of Megs #85, a pass with Ultimate Compound followed by Extreme Top Coat Sealant.

The mag wheels were protected with Rim Wax, windows cleaned with Autoglym Fast Glass and dressings dressed with Chemical Guys O New Premium Car Dressing.

The results were superb; however in some areas light swirling remained due to respray work and my uncertainty as to the paints thickness keeping in mind the softness of Honda paint and the harsh combo I used to achieve correction.

A few final pictures:

You'll be surprised what people do to there cars. I did a polo last year that the owner has been washing with a freaking broom since new.

Mike good work as always

Hi guys

Thank you for the comments, I really enjoy reading what you guys have to say.

On a scale of 0 to 10 with 0 being hard and 10 being soft I would say about 8.

This didnt help much though as the entire right hand side of the car and boot had been resprayed and that clearcoat may as well have been classified as diamond. Extremely hard - Was quite a nasty surprise. :thumbdo:

Just a word for those surprised by the paint condition:

Ironically I have found that it is those who care the most for their cars, people that have love and passion for their cars which usually end up with finishes like this.

Most try do their own polishing etc, use incorrect methods and products and the result is the car being handed over to me to fix and educate the owner on the correct ways to look after his baby.
