Thanks for reading through...hope it kept you entertained and helped you make a final decision.

Steering wheel - Didnt work, nothing wrong with the wheel...its just not compatible with my car it seems...i needed something that comes with the car when you select auto memory seats apparently...
I may be selling depending if i can get my hands on the normal alcantara wheel or the newer leather wheel as seen in the 2014 models up.

DP - Yes this does affect the plan but its an hour to swap it out with the catalytic converter...so if you planning on taking the car in, just have it removed the day before...And you all good.

MPE is a BMW product so no issues on the plan. But i find the MPE alone isnt enough to really bring out the best in the cars exhaust note. You need to couple it with a DP for best results.
My DP is currently off and i miss it - will be fitting it again in June sometime.

thanks for the response. I'm really inspired.

Sorry that the steering wheel didn't work. I think I will do the MPE first then DP later. But DP will definitely add that exhaust note. Thanks again for the info. Im sure it is still enjoyable with the DP out still.

Nothing much new going on here...
Bought the red stop start button a while ago but never updated the thread, so here's a pic of that

Got it from eBay, quality for me was spot on...nice subtle change.

I also sourced a 86mm oil wrench tool from eBay - allot cheaper than anywhere locally. Cost about R120 landed.

Have the thinnner spark plug tool also on the way.

Then I'll be doing rear tyres next month...
What's the thoughts on fitting 255-35-18 on the oem 8J wheel?
I know it fits, just haven't seen one fitted so I'm not sure if it'll look off. Oem size is 245-35-18...

Love the steering wheel, terrible shame it didn’t work.
I’ve got a dp and full custom exhaust on my m135i. Car sounds insane. You will really enjoy the car once you have yours done

Small update:

Took the 135i in for front pads to be replaced, and while on the lift noticed a bubble on the one wheel...on further inspection and spinning the wheels while the car was up i saw that all 4 wheels were buckled. Not massively but definitely noticeable. Thinking about and testing thereafter there was a slight vibration at 140km/h...
The rear tyres were also looking a bit tired after 54 000km...
This past weekend i took all 4 wheels off, and sent them to get straightened, also researched the best tyre to fit on the car seeing as the rears needed replacing and decided to go with Michelin Pilot Super Sports...245-35-18. Got them at a good price so i went ahead and ordered.

Hopefully the wheels will be ready by Friday and then i will be fitting it all back. I think i should notice a vast improvement in traction and overall driving comfort seeing as i am ditching the run flats.
Still have the oem rft up front but ill ditch those for the same Michelin PSS once there's a good deal for the fronts.

Comparison between front and rear tyre...you can see the fronts still have some life in them

All loaded up to be sent for fixing

Needs a nice wash, while the wheels are off i will clean inside the wheel arches thoroughly as well as the calipers etc..

Update time
So with the help of forum members and Morris I was able to source the extended bolts I needed at a great price. I got all 20 delivered and then ordered the spacers. Spacers took about 3 weeks to manufacture to my spec order but I must say it was well worth the wait.

I'll be installing this weekend some time.
Very keen to see the difference. Reading other reviews it seems this should assist in handling too with the wider track. But my main intent was purely cosmetic.

Who did you use to manufacture the spacers?
