It did not go down as planned and they proved once again that BMW stands for Baboon Motor Works
here is my response this morning:
Hi Everyone, yes everyone as we have more oxygen thieves working at BMW than anywhere else. I am utterly disgusted and unsatisfied with the repairs carried out on my vehicle. The vehicle is moving more worst than when I brought it there.
1. The check - in mileage was 31 720 kms I took delivery of the vehicle yesterday afternoon with 32 554. My car was "tested" for over 800 kilometres, how is this possible? I have the check in sheet.
2. The bonnet was removed to fit the engine in yet the mampara who refitted did not align the bonnet.
3. I asked for the vehicle to be checked 110 % before collection yet no checks were done and I began pointing out problem after problem. I asked no I begged to please please fix it 100 % before collection. I in no way rushed the repair process as well.
4. Mr Botha and Mr Gearing could of avoided all this unnecessary headaches on my side and just replaced the vehicle once and for all but no two years of suffering with a dud reject was not enough for me to endure. I do not have Mr Gearings email please forward to him so that both he and Mr Botha can explain this balls up which had a 99% probability of occurring.
5. I sincerely hope new clamps were used when the pipes were refitted as BMWs are notorious for overheating issues, and it would be a shame if one of these pipes came loose and the engine overheated.
5. My car was used to go to Pna (shopping) to do what as there was a nice 2015 calendar laying in the back seat.
6. The gearbox is very sticky not sure why the diff was replaced before repairs gear changes were smooth as silk.
7. Various pipes have been damaged as I pointed out when we done a visual inspection.
8. The quarter glass beading was supposed to be replaced as per your email of work to be carried out it clearly states that new beadings would be fitted yet I pointed out that the beadings are still damaged.
9. There is radiator coolant on all cooling pipes.
10. Left passenger door has a dink as the person driving the car does not know how to park between two lines.
11. While putting my laptop in the boot I noticed the locknut cover has been damaged as the so called senior BMW technician does not know how to remove and replace the cover.
12. I was charged for the headlight washers on purchase of the vehicle to date it does still not work.
13. The wind noises I complained about are still in the cabin.
14. When the vehicle was raised on the hoist the under carriage cover was also damaged during repairs as pointed out.
15. We have not even performed a key read, I am to scared to what that will reveal.
My question is what has been done on the vehicle as all the cosmetic issues are still present as well as all mechanical ( My 1600 non turbo Toyota will outrun this 2.0 twin turbo donkey after the repairs done on it by so called "Senior Technician" who does not even know how to remove a lock nut from the boot nor does he know that the engine needs to be washed after repairs and silicone applied to pipes so it does not look like a vehicle purchased from a salvage yard.
I have done less mileage in the loaner car throughout this period and I need answers. To me it seems my car was being driven the whole month by various BMW representatives and treated like a pool car. instead of issues being attended to The car came in with tyres with less than 11 000 kms on them yet now they look like they have been to the kyalami race track and taken around the track for a few laps. I was even told by BMW staff how good the grip is of the tyres fitted.
In my previous emails with all the people on the email I did guarantee that you guys will make a balls up and you guys lived up to my expectations. The car in it's current state is proof of it.
NO ETHICS, NO INTEGRITY. The reason I say this is because I have been lied to time and again. I discovered yesterday that you guys do not have the equipment at your offices in order to do an engine change and it was done at Auto Bavaria Midrand. Paul was insistent that it was done at your offices. You guys have no shame. I would change what BMW stands for Baboon Motor Works is more fitting.
Guy please arrange a face to face with someone who is willing to represent BMW in a senior capacity so I may present paper as well as voice recordings of all engagements with BMW as this has gone out of hand. I am available Friday after 3:30pm or otherwise 29th of December to the 31st to put this matter to bed once and for all. Don't act like moffies and hide behind the scenes. Feel free to share with anyone else who needs to be at the meeting as I expect decision makers in the meeting.
Regards,
