Help: Potential Stripped Spark Plug Threads - F30 328i

Hi all,

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Need some help/advise. [/font]

Was doing a service on the car including changing spark plugs. All went ok apart from #3. Firstly the ceramic part broke, so had to fish out all the pieces with some medical tongs and also compressed air. Removed the plug fine. [/font]

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]Inserted the new plug and screwed it by hand as did the others. It felt a bit hard after the second turn. Tried to turn it more and then it become hard. Removed it and found what is on the attached pic. Decided to stop there. 

Can you recommend someone who can come by and have a look? Don't want to force it further. I am in Sunnginghill.[/font]

You shall need an expert to helicoil for you.

Oh shit ....
Those helicoils does the trick, has a similar issue with when fitting crash bobins on my bike.....
