Howzit Guys,

I need to have my heater radiator replaced as I've noticed water leakage and subsequent to that a high temperature reading.

I'm told that I need to have my dashboard removed in order to get to the heater console and then replace what needs replacing.

Does anyone know how to perform this "op" and may you please provide me with the procedure...(E36 325I).

no need to take out dash board if you are only replacing the heater matrix....You will though if you are replacing the complete unit with blower motors and all.....Also make sure it is the unit and not the pipes coming in which you can check by taking out the glovebox  If you are replacing the whole unit then let me know and I will explain the procedure  Its time consuming but it is not difficult

Tx 4 your feedback. I noticed the water leakage coming from the pipes( aluminium i think) on the inside of the dash in the heater compartment adjoined to the rubber water pipes in the engine compartment.

Not knowing much :dunno: I consulted...and was told to replace the radiator and that is by removing the dashboard.

Should you have an alternative method, please feel free to provide me with the process, cause i've already bought the radiator and now need to install.:thumb:

Tx
Eazy out.

Hello Mate-here you go
Could you please take pics when you are doing it as there isn't a decent how-to out there so we can use your pics for creating one  and it can be used to help others:thumbsup:

Remove the glove box and lower trim, then you will see where the matrix goes into the heater box, you should see 2 pipes going into into it.
You will need to drain the coolant and disconnect the plastic pipes where they go into the bulkhead then you need to remove the 2 pipes that go into the matrix. When you have removed the pipes the matrix is usually held into the heater box with a torx screw. Then it will just slide out towards you...
Remember to replace the 4 o rings that seal the matrix pipes....
