Gum find Bmw M5

Sorry but that just look hideous to me :puke:

The problem with these engines is there is no manual way to check the oil only the electronic dipstick and the sensor for this tends to fail in a way that it still reads that there is enough oil, but that might not be the case if you couple that to the fact that M engines tend to use oil, the end result is not very good :nonono: and to think that all think this could pretty much have been avoided by fitting something as simple as a dipstick  not sure what BMW was thinking with that one.

Saw this car in the flesh on Friday, it's at a friend of mine's dealership, and I can tell you that the pictures don't do it justice! He's got a grey one there as well and parked next to each other the grey one looks very ordinary! The red is awesome!!!

There is one that ran bearings recently in Queenstown - apparently the quote from BMW to repair ran to over R400k !!!

It,s a known fact that the ....BEST BMW EVER MADE WAS THE E 46 SERIES.....

At the risk of sounding arrogant, I am going to disagree with you - the E39 was the finest and most sucessful sedan that BMW ever made.

the E46's were plagued with issues - for example: Plastic radiator expansion tank, faulty central locking modules, fragile electric window regulators, final stage fan resitors and the list goes on.....

Andrew, how many E39's were sold, and how many E46's were sold worldwide???
Reason I ask is because I own an E46, and I tell you, its the best car i ever driven.
Mind you I haven't owned the E39, but driven a few, and I think way more E46's were sold.
My point is that all over the world there are people driving E39's, and saying their cars are better, but if you take how many were sold, then the E46 is a better all round car.
I have also owned a Honda, and before that a Toyota, and both these cars also sell well worldwide.

LOL - Ok - Peace?

I didn't mean to diss the E46 - I am a huge V8 fan so I guess that I never rated the 3 series - it doesn't help that I did a head gasket on a m43 that fell victim to the dreaded expansion tank bottle bursting

They say a picture is worth a thousand words - in this case an animated ikon is worth a thousand words :)

Well the e39 was not the running 7 year "best executive car" for no reason. :fencelook:
Cois - there are always less of the premium cars than the "budget cars" of a specific manufacturers
