GT40R rebuild - Wheel Sizes

OK I have been looking at hundreds of websites and thousands of wheel designs, and it seems that I come back to this one every time.

Forgeline:

Now I guess it's just the relatively simple and straightforward decision to decide whether to go 19" or 20", the colour, and whether centre-lock looks cool or not.:dunno:

I actually prefer it without the centre-lock :)

i like the face colour of number two best and i think it will go well with the blue you plan to put on the car

I'm leaning strongly to option 2: Gunmetal inner with silver outer.

About 50:50 on centre-lock or not.

Also about 50:50 on 19" or 20".

Here's a pic with 19"

And with 20"

should you not choose rim size depending on what tires you can get?

For 19" Pirelli P Zero Corsa System

F: 305/30ZR19
R: 345/35ZR19

For 20" Michelin Pilot Super Sport

F: 305/25ZR20
R: 345/30ZR20

The 20" are so big you can actually run them without tyres.

i think 19" with more profile will give you more of the look you want :)

Yup, I'm leaning over slightly to the 19" - The 19" looks more business and the 20" looks more bling.

Why is this so hard?:argh:

I should pull my finger outa my ass and do a PS with both sizes.

Thought I would do a quick PS to get an idea how it would look.

This is with 19" Forgeline rims.

I think maybe 20" is too much. Like the 19" better.

I was all gungho to start working full force on this car but I'm afraid life (is a bitch) intervened.

For a very long time I've been working together with a UK company on a very fancy Internet training cum information cum Artificial Intelligence system. I put in many hours (more than 2 years) and much of my own money into it.

But alas due to the horrendous financial situation in the UK and the Eurozone the UK company went bust. And here I now sit with my finger up my ass with nothing really to show for it. So now I'm flat broke and unemployed.

Well they say cowboys don't cry, but I must admit I did shed a few tears.

So now I have to pick myself up, dust myself off, and start over. Luckily (or unluckily) this is not the first time something like this happened to me, so at least I have a bit of experience with the situation.

So the GT40R rebuild is now on full hold for now. Sorry for the forumites (if any) that subscribed to the thread. I'm not a quitter, and eventually I'll get back to it again. I'm just not sure when.

It might help if some other forumites also shed a few tears, it's really sad.
