I got a quote from Bosch. They no longer have a plan that covers service costs, but their 'Intensive care' plan which covers electrical and mechanical replacement parts seems good.

They are expensive though. I do 120km a day and because of that, my quote comes to over R1000 per month. I am waiting for more details on all the packages they have and what they include, but a good idea would be to take the car you want to their service centers where they do a 150 point check on the car....cost about 400 bucks.....well worth it if they can determine what condition the car is in.

Ummm... no. I spent R700 on a Bosch check to deem if the car I was interested in up in JHB was worth buying (I'm in CT so this was critical). Biggest rip-off ever. I can't stress enough. Turns out immediately the tyres are shot, the rims are buckled, the rack end bent, the front pads worn out, the battery was dead with a CEL and reduced torque. Much of this (minus rack end) I noticed in a second once I was up there. I was pissed. I'll willingly state it was Zak Autospeed whom signed the entire checklist off with only ball joints are requiring replacement. Well after jumping through 20 hoops to get those I get it into a roadworthy centre to change my plates to local and they say they're fine (I got a refund minus 'handling charges'!). Rather get it into a Dekra AA.

I've had very good experience with Koehler Motors in CT whom are Bosch certified. But it seems it's hit and miss.

I was looking into their 'Hospital' maintenace plan. No limited value per claim - up to 100% benefit (unlike Motorite). 36 months or 30,000 km for R9k. But then I drive like 7k a year so it would be a full 3 years.

Was just trying to help. As mentioned before, those are the figures they quoted me. Sorry to hear you got bent over.
