Since I'm 1500kg and the golf 5 gti is around 1300kg, and we're both pushing out the same power but me a shit load more torque. Should I have the upper hand on robot to robot. And also on a dyno would it make a difference if traction control and aircon were off?

Rolling Road dynos (thats what we all are using) are used in one only gear without shifting during the power messuring procedure

This is to keep a static gear ratio to ensure constant and equal power distribution.
If any possible it's done in the 1:1 gear that drives the gearbox at the same speed as the engine

With the weight disadvantage and the A/T gearbox I suggest NOT to do a dice from standstill but rather a rolling one to keep your chances alive

From standstill you WILL look at the GTi's taillights

One needs to be realistic

That GTi is roughly 30% lighter than the beamer at same power levels .... it's not gonna work from standstill unless you have about 200kw

Rolling start or once in motio it's a different story.....
Once your car's momentum is on the go, you need lesser power to keep it going

Just that initial kick off is the pain with weight

So a car thats has max performance in that gear, less than another car might have more power in other gears?

Haha mine too :fencelook: all I want is for my little 2 liter diesel to be faster than a gti.

Would this fit onto an E90? I just want the M on the tailpipes

Didn't you tell me you wanted the 335i look-a-like rear system?

No problem. Looking at them again they look a bit thin at the tips I prefer it when the metal almost wraps around back inside if that makes sense, and doesnt just look like a piece of pipe thats been cut.

I did want the 335i look but I was told by brandon at pro-fit that for performance it would be better to go with a 63mm (I think) pipe straight from the front to the rear and not splitting it. Would this be because of weight?

For performance 63mm front to back without silencer

No worries the car won't be too noisy
