i know of a house that can sleep 12 in margate... parking is limited though...

also maybe we can get some track time at Dezzi track in Port Shepstone

I also favour the group accommadation. Tell us more Sean. I'm pretty sure we can fill that house up quick quick.

Im in :joy:.

It would be nice to record 50 Fanatics pulling off from the tolls and a drive by were each car accelerates from 80 to 100.

+1 on this, will just look awesome.

Just one question, for how long we all planning to go?

And more or less when?

You know what would be epic? If the Durban guys arrange an event. A proper event, not a meet up. I would not mind paying a fee if im able to take my car and run some times, or even a show n shine where trophies are handed to winners, etc...

Then, the Gauteng guys can drive down, as mentioned. This would give us a reason to do the trip. Just imagine, 2 regions together at one event.

I would suggest the sleep over point, to be close to the event location. Or, within a 50km radius so we could possibly have a joint run with the region to the location. That will be 2 epic "breakfast runs"...

At the event, we could have a Gauteng vs Durban. Kick off and have fun.

EPIC

now that I think about it im not so sure about the house... can only park 4 cars comfortably and maybe 7 if we park everyone in...

also only 3 rooms the rest of the sleeping places are in the lounge area so will not be nice for those staying there...

this would be perfect for 4 or 5 fanatics space is good with a braai area

last price for a night was something like R 750 for the house so its cheap :)

Thanks Arbee I like this Idea. There's been huge feedback and response for the trip.

How does this sound

We can leave on the Friday, spend the night and have the event on the Saturday. And then leave Sunday to be home just before nightfall.

Now let's put some dates out there so we can look for the best possible option re accommodation.

Here's the school holidays 20 sept - 1 oct and 4 dec - 9 jan (or 16jan)

http://saschools.co.za/calendar-2013.php

I'm quite happy with doing this over a weekend seeing as many of us has to go to work and have prior leave planned and spoken for.

I see the 23rd and 24th of sept is also public holidays so that weekend will be too busy.

The following weekends should be fine 13-15 September or

Any weekend in October

4-6
11-13
18-20
25-27

Can one of the mods please add a poll to the thread with the 5 mentioned dates. Then we can move along with planning.

If you guys want we can do it for longer, ie between 2 weekends. 4th oct - 13 oct.

Ive been thinking maybe we should make it like from a Thursday or a Wednesday till the Sunday?

Gives us all a day or two to spend around there and then the event over the weekend and drive back up the Sunday?

I think October/November would be better :fencelook:
Gives you guys enough time to plan and if we have to arrange an event, gives us time as well.
